In this course, students explored a range of acclaimed small-scale residential projects through in-depth research using various online resources. Based on their findings, each student produced 2D architectural drawings by tracing plans and sections in AutoCAD and developed detailed 3D models using SketchUp. They were later introduced to Adobe Photoshop as a tool for visual enhancement, where they learned to refine their images and elevate the presentation quality of their projects. Students were encouraged to express their individual design preferences—selecting their own color palettes, experimenting with composition, and establishing a personal graphic identity throughout the semester.

To support this creative development, the course included concise theoretical lectures covering typography, color theory, layout fundamentals, and key principles of graphic design. As a culmination of the semester’s work, students were tasked with designing a comprehensive A0 poster. This final presentation was an opportunity to demonstrate the full range of skills acquired, showcasing their 2D drawings, 3D perspective shots, diagrams, and thoughtfully composed layouts—clearly communicating both their architectural understanding, representation capabilities and graphic design proficiency.
